Buried beneath the quagmire of gambling debts, bastard children, and a laundry list of self-destructive vices, Pat Gallagher (owner and producer-extraordinaire of the pathetic, rundown Munhall Dinner Theater) encounters a seemingly inescapable punishment from the mob. Saved at the last minute by a mysterious "businessman" who pays off his marker, Pat must let the man's depressed son, Danny, run the theater and success is the only acceptable outcome.
